Gulf Al-Arab Company provides hourly maids across Jeddah for cleaning and tidying homes. The visit most families book is 4 hours with one maid, priced from SAR 138, and 2-, 5-, 6- and 8-hour options run in either the morning shift or the evening shift. Ring us or send a WhatsApp message to 0561940026 to book.
In plain terms: you pick the number of hours and the time, we bring the maid to your door, she does the cleaning, tidying and laundry you agree on, and our driver picks her up once her time is finished. Nobody moves into your home, there is no sponsorship paperwork, and there is no long contract unless you want regular visits.

What does an hourly maids company in Jeddah offer?
An hourly maids company sends a trained, legally employed housekeeper to your home for a set number of hours, then takes her back when the visit ends. You pay for the hours, not for a month of salary, housing and food.
People in Jeddah search for this under many names: hourly maid, part-time maid, cleaning lady per hour, maid on demand or simply house cleaning by the hour. In Saudi Arabia, “part-time maid” almost always means visits booked by the hour, not a live-in helper who works fewer days. That is exactly what we provide: hourly visits, one-off or on a regular schedule, with no live-in arrangement and no recruitment process.
Gulf Al-Arab Company is based in Al-Waha district, Jeddah, and runs its hourly maid service in Jeddah and Riyadh; this page is about Jeddah. We handle transport both ways, so you never have to arrange a taxi or wait outside for a driver, and you carry no responsibility for the maid’s residency, housing or sponsorship.
The service suits many households: working mothers who come home too tired for a weekly clean, large families in villas who need an extra pair of hands once or twice a week, expats in a two-bedroom flat who only need the kitchen and bathrooms done, and anyone preparing for guests or coming back from a long trip to a dusty home. You decide whether it is a single visit or a fixed weekly slot.
The maid brings basic cleaning tools with her. Cleaning products are agreed when you book: some families prefer their own brands, especially for marble and delicate surfaces, while others ask the maid to bring them. Just mention it in your message and we will confirm before the visit.
How much is an hourly maid in Jeddah?
A 4-hour visit with one maid in Jeddah starts from SAR 138, a 2-hour visit from SAR 92, and each extra hour from SAR 52. What you finally pay comes down to four things: hours booked, how many maids, how big the home is, and which shift.
Here is the full Gulf Al-Arab price list for hourly maids in Jeddah, from short visits to monthly packages:
| Booking | What it suits | Starting price (SAR) |
|---|---|---|
| 2-hour visit | Single maid, one focused job: bathrooms, kitchen or ironing | 92 |
| 4-hour visit | One maid; the most booked option for apartments | 138 |
| 5-hour visit | A large flat or full floor, with laundry | 182 |
| 6-hour visit | A duplex or small villa, or a deeper clean | 204 |
| 8-hour visit | A villa, a home after an event, or before moving in | 274 |
| Extra hour | Added to a visit when arranged in advance | 52 |
| Two maids for 4 hours | Big jobs done in roughly half the time | 296 |
| Monthly plan: 4 visits of 4 hours | A fixed weekly slot | 468 |
| Monthly plan: 8 visits of 4 hours | Two slots each week | 885 |
| Monthly plan: 12 visits of 4 hours | Three slots each week | 1,325 |
What changes the final price?
- Hours: longer visits cost more in total, but less per hour.
- Team size: a pair of maids working 4 hours begins at SAR 296 and suit villas and big jobs before or after events.
- Size and condition of the home: a flat cleaned every week is very different from a home left for weeks or a new flat full of builders’ dust.
- Shift and day: we confirm any difference for evenings, Fridays or public holidays when you book.
- Regularity: a monthly package brings the cost of each visit below a single booking.
What does one hour actually cost?
Divide the 4-hour price by four and you pay about SAR 34.5 an hour; an 8-hour visit works out at about SAR 34 an hour. A 2-hour visit comes to around SAR 46 an hour, because travel and setup time are the same however short the visit. If you think you need three hours, book four: the difference is small and the fourth hour covers an extra task such as ironing or sorting a bedroom.
Need something not listed? For larger teams at a big gathering or a visit on a holiday, ask for the price on WhatsApp at 0561940026 and we will send the details before you confirm.
Monthly hourly packages: what do you save?
Think of a monthly plan as a bundle of 4-hour visits you reserve in one go and spread across the month; the four-visit bundle starts from SAR 468. Nobody lives in and nothing ties you beyond that month: it simply saves you messaging us each week.
The table shows roughly what each visit costs inside a package, compared with a single visit from SAR 138:
| Package | Schedule | From (SAR) | Per visit, approx. |
|---|---|---|---|
| Four 4-hour visits | Same weekday each week | 468 | SAR 117 |
| Eight 4-hour visits | Two fixed weekdays | 885 | SAR 111 |
| Twelve 4-hour visits | Three fixed weekdays | 1,325 | SAR 110 |
The weekly package suits flats that just need steady upkeep so dust never builds up. Twice a week works for families with young children or frequent guests. Three visits a week comes close to having permanent help, without the housing, food and paperwork. Packages also make it easier to request the same maid each time, when her schedule allows, and a familiar maid needs far less explaining.
Tip: Start with a single visit to see how many hours your home really needs, then pick a package. Many families find that one steady weekly visit saves them from an exhausting big clean every month.
Is hourly maid service legal in Saudi Arabia, and why book a licensed company?
Yes, provided the maid is supplied by a company that employs her legally. Under Saudi law a household worker may only work for the employer who holds her contract; moonlighting for other families or freelancing is banned, and a family that takes on such a worker can be penalised too.
The Council of Ministers' regulation on domestic workers obliges sponsors to stop their maids hiring themselves out. A sponsor found in breach risks a penalty capped at SAR 20,000, or being barred from recruiting for as long as three years, and both double if it happens again. The maid herself can be fined as much as SAR 2,000 or barred from working in Saudi Arabia.
The General Directorate of Passports goes further: giving work, a lift or a place to stay to someone breaking residency or labour rules, household workers included, can mean jail for as long as six months plus a penalty reaching SAR 100,000, counted separately for each violator. On the labour side, the human resources ministry (MHRSD) has reported 568 enforcement decisions, among them action against 222 sponsors whose maids were working for other households.
The domestic workers regulation also limits a maid to 10 actual working hours in a day, requires a rest after at most five hours in a row, and rules out dangerous work. That is one reason the 4-hour visit became the market standard, and why longer visits include a short break for the maid.
Valid iqama
Each maid on our team holds a current residency permit and a legal work status.
Transport both ways
We drop the maid at your home and collect her when the hours end.
Changes handled
Need a new time or a different maid? We arrange it with you on WhatsApp.
Modest uniform
Our maids are trained and arrive in a modest work uniform.
Warning: Do not hire a “freelance” maid from the street or one who has absconded from her employer, however cheap she seems. If a violation is proven, the fines above fall on you, and there is no company to turn to if anything goes wrong.
Inside your home: the tasks an hourly maid takes on
Expect general cleaning and tidying: floors swept and mopped, dishes washed and the kitchen wiped down, bathrooms scrubbed, clothes washed, ironed and folded, inside window glass cleaned, and the majlis and rugs vacuumed. You set the priorities within the hours you book.
Living rooms and the majlis
The maid usually starts by dusting tables, shelves and the TV unit, then vacuums rugs and sofas, mops the floors with a cleaner that suits the surface and puts cushions and throws back in order. Jeddah’s wind carries fine dust that sticks to surfaces in the humid air, so a living room on a weekly schedule stays far cleaner than one cleaned in occasional big sessions.

Kitchen and dishes
Washing piled-up dishes and pots, wiping marble worktops and cabinet fronts, degreasing the hob and cooker hood, scrubbing the sink, and wiping the outside of the fridge and microwave. If your kitchen needs more, such as the inside of the oven or cupboards, tell us in advance and we will allow the extra time.

Bathrooms
Cleaning basins, toilets, showers and tubs, removing visible limescale from taps and glass, polishing mirrors, and mopping floors and nearby tiles. Bathrooms are among the most requested jobs for 2-hour visits because they take time and effort most people would rather skip.

Laundry, ironing and folding
Running the washing machine, sorting by colour and fabric, hanging clothes to dry, then ironing thobes, abayas and shirts and folding everything away. Ironing takes time, so if you have a big pile, reserve part of the visit for the ironing board, or book a short visit just for ironing.

Bedrooms and windows
Making beds and changing sheets, gathering scattered clothes, dusting furniture and wiping interior window glass. Facades and the outside of windows are not part of the visit, as they count as work at height.
What is not included in an hourly maid visit?
Four things fall outside a visit: preparing full meals, being left alone in charge of children or older family members, risky work such as exterior facades and anything at height, and shifting heavy furniture. These limits protect both your home and the maid, and mean you pay for exactly what you agreed.
- Full cooking: the maid can help prepare and serve refreshments, but cooking meals is not part of the visit.
- Childcare or eldercare: the family stays responsible for little ones and older relatives; the maid cleans around them.
- Hazardous tasks: exterior facades, outside windows, tall ladders and high ceilings.
- Heavy furniture: moving a small sofa to clean underneath is fine; shifting wardrobes or large beds is not.
Ideally a lady of the house is present while the maid works. This is standard practice among domestic labour companies in the Kingdom, and it makes it easier to guide the maid, set priorities and check the work before the time runs out.
Choosing the right number of hours for your Jeddah home
Most mid-size flats in Jeddah are covered by a 4-hour visit, larger flats need 5 to 6 hours, while villas usually call for a full 8-hour visit or a pair of maids. Use this as a practical guide:
| Home | Suggested time | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Studio or 1–2 bedroom flat | 2 to 4 hours | 2 hours is enough for one job, such as bathrooms and kitchen |
| 3-bedroom flat with living room | 4 hours | A full clean with light laundry |
| Large flat or floor with 4–5 rooms | 5–6 hours | Heavy ironing? Allow one more hour |
| Duplex or small villa | 6–8 hours | Alternatively a two-maid team |
| Large villa with several majlis rooms | A full 8 hours, or a pair of maids | Each maid takes a floor |
| After a party, or pre-move-in | 8 hours, or a pair of maids | Depends on the workload and condition |
These estimates assume a home that is cleaned regularly. If it has been weeks since the last clean, if you have small children and lots of toys, or if the home was closed during a long trip, add an hour or two. The easiest way is to drop us a WhatsApp with your room and bathroom count plus the jobs on your list, and we will suggest a duration that covers it without paying for spare hours.

Book nowWhatsApp 0561940026CallMorning or evening: when can the maid come?
We offer a morning slot and an evening slot, and timing begins the moment the maid reaches your door, not when she leaves our office. Friday and holiday availability, and any evening supplement, are settled when we confirm your booking.
Morning visits suit full cleans and laundry: the house is quiet once children are at school and adults at work, and daylight shows up dust and marks. Evening visits suit working women who want to be home during the visit, and are handy for getting the house ready before a dinner or putting it back in order after a busy day.
During Ramadan the slot times shift around fasting and iftar, and we confirm what is available when you book. Demand peaks in the days before Eid, so book as early as you can.
Tip: Be ready to let the maid in at the agreed time. The clock starts when she arrives, so any wait at the door comes out of the working hours.
Booking a maid by the hour in Jeddah: the steps
One message or phone call to 0561940026 is all it takes:
Send your request: district, flat or villa, how many rooms and bathrooms, and your job list.
Get our suggestion: the right number of hours, one maid or two, and the starting price from the list above.
Pick a time: the day and the morning or evening slot; we confirm the booking by message.
The maid arrives: we drop her off on time with basic tools, and products as agreed.
Check the work: shortly before the end, look over what has been done and point out anything to redo.
Details that speed up your booking
- Your district and a nearby landmark, or share your location on WhatsApp.
- Type of home: a flat in a building, a floor in a villa or a whole villa, and the floor number if there is no lift.
- Number of rooms, bathrooms and majlis rooms.
- Your tasks, in order of priority.
- Whether you will supply cleaning products or want the maid to bring them.
- Whether you would like the same maid as last time.
What happens during the visit, from arrival to departure?
The visit starts with a short walk round the home so you can explain priorities. The maid then works from high to low and from inner rooms out to the entrance, and finishes with a quick check with you before we collect her.
In the first few minutes she learns where the products are, which surfaces need special care and which rooms stay closed. The work then follows an order that avoids cleaning twice: dusting shelves and furniture comes before sweeping the floor, bathrooms and kitchen come before the final mop of the hallways, and the washing machine goes on early so the laundry is ready to hang or iron before the end.
In a 4-hour visit to an average flat, a good share of the time usually goes to the kitchen and bathrooms, the rest to bedrooms, the living room and floors, with around half an hour left for ironing or tidying you ask for. If the time will not stretch to everything, tell the maid what can wait for the next visit, or ask us for an extra hour before the visit ends.
Jeddah is a humid coastal city, so dust clings to glass and surfaces faster than in drier cities, air-conditioning vents need regular wiping, and water marks build up on bathroom taps quickly. Regular visits therefore pay off more than occasional ones, and each visit gets shorter and easier than the last.
Rescheduling, changing the maid and asking for her again
You can move a visit or ask for a different maid by arranging it with us on WhatsApp well before the appointment, and you can request the same maid for future visits, subject to her availability.
The earlier you tell us, the easier it is to arrange, because maids’ schedules are planned in advance across all districts. Liked a particular maid? Mention her when you book next time; she already knows your home and how you like things, which saves explaining at every visit. And if a maid did not suit you, be frank with us and the next visit will be with someone new.
Our maids: nationalities, uniform and conduct
The team includes Kenyan and Ugandan maids, among other African nationalities, as well as Bangladeshi maids; the mix on offer depends on who is free when you book. Prefer a particular nationality? Say so and we will tell you who is available for your slot.
They are trained in housework, wear a modest work uniform and respect your family’s privacy and customs: they stay out of any room you want kept closed and do not handle personal belongings unless you ask. It is sensible to lock away jewellery, cash and important papers before any visit, as you would with anyone entering your home.
Write the tasks as short, clear points and show the maid which products to use on each surface, especially marble, wood and delicate fabrics. Those first few minutes of guidance shape the whole visit.
Hourly maid, monthly package or live-in maid?
An hourly maid suits occasional help with no commitment, a monthly package suits fixed weekly visits, and a live-in maid suits households that need someone all day, with more paperwork and cost. We provide the first two only; the comparison is for information:
| Hourly visit | Monthly visit package | Live-in maid (for comparison) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Commitment | One visit when needed | A month of scheduled visits | Long contract and procedures |
| Housing and food | Not needed | Not needed | Provided by the family |
| Cost | From SAR 92 a visit | From SAR 468 a month | Salary, iqama and tickets |
| Privacy | Your home is yours again in a few hours | Fixed, time-limited visits | Someone always at home |
| Flexibility | Choose the day and length each time | Fixed schedule, adjustable | Limited |
| Best for | Flats, events and emergencies | Families, villas, working women | Households needing all-day help |
Many families in Jeddah, Saudis and expats alike, assumed a live-in maid was the only option, then found that two visits a week keep the home in order without the responsibility of housing and supporting a worker.
Guests, Ramadan, Eid and moving day: occasion bookings
Yes. Book a maid to set up before visitors and clear up after them, to ready the house for the holy month and the Eid holidays, or to clean an empty flat at either end of a move.

Before a gathering
Arranging the majlis, polishing tables, setting out cups and trays. Usually 4 to 6 hours.
During and after
Serving refreshments, then clearing, washing up and mopping. Two maids suit large gatherings.
Ramadan and Eid
Vacuuming majlis seating and curtains, polishing serveware and tidying before visitors.
Moving in or out
Dusting doors and windows, cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms. 8 hours or two maids.
Each of these occasions has its own timing and order of work, which we have gathered in a separate guide: hourly maid services in Jeddah, where every service has its own section covering when to book, how many hours and what is included.
Jeddah districts our hourly maids cover
We cover 22 districts across north, central and east Jeddah and along the seafront, and can reach others by arrangement. The table groups them by area and type of housing:
| Area | Districts | Housing and best-fit visit |
|---|---|---|
| Far north and the coast | Obhur North, Obhur South, Al-Murjan | Villas, chalets and large plots; 6 or 8 hours, or two maids, usually fit best |
| North Jeddah | Al-Khalidiyah, Ar-Rawdah, Az-Zahra, As-Salamah, An-Naeem, Al-Muhammadiyah, Al-Basateen, An-Nuzhah, Al-Bawadi, Al-Faisaliyah | A mix of apartments and villas; a 4-hour visit covers most flats |
| Seafront and central Jeddah | Ash-Shati, Al-Hamra, Ash-Sharafiyah, Al-Aziziyah, Mushrifah, Ar-Rabwah | Residential blocks and mid-size flats, with villas in the coastal districts |
| East and north-east Jeddah | As-Safa, Al-Marwah, As-Samer | Family districts of flats and duplexes, well suited to weekly packages |

Choose your district to read the details there and the hours and packages that suit its homes:
If your district is not on the list, message us its name on WhatsApp; in most cases we can arrange a visit at a time that suits you.
Before the maid arrives: simple preparation that saves time
The most useful thing you can do is decide your priorities and have ready what the maid will need, so the hours go on cleaning rather than searching and asking.
- List the tasks in order, starting with what matters most: bathrooms, kitchen or ironing.
- Gather scattered items and toys into one basket so floors can be swept and mopped quickly.
- Lock away valuables and important documents.
- Set out the products you prefer if you are supplying them, and say what must not touch marble or wood.
- Close any rooms you do not want entered and tell the maid at the start.
- Make sure there is hot water, power and space to hang laundry.
- Keep the last few minutes to go over the work together.
How to spot a trustworthy hourly maid company in Jeddah
A trustworthy company publishes clear prices, sends legally employed workers, is clear about the limits of a visit, and has a fixed contact number. These are fair questions to ask anyone before you open your door:
- Is the price stated before the visit? Be wary of anyone who will not name a price until the maid arrives.
- Is the maid legally employed with a valid iqama? This protects you from the fines described above.
- Are the tasks clear? A promise of cooking, childcare and facade cleaning in one visit is an overstatement.
- Is there a fixed contact number? You will need it to reschedule or ask for another maid.
- Are the promises realistic? Lines such as “at your door in minutes” or “round the clock” deserve caution.
At Gulf Al-Arab Company we publish our prices on this page, send legally employed maids and are upfront about what a visit includes, because a customer who knows what they are paying for keeps coming back.
