Which hourly maid services can you book in Jeddah?
An hourly maid can keep a home in order week by week, handle seasonal jobs tied to occasions, or tackle one task that only needs two hours. This overview pairs each service with the right moment to book and a suggested length:
| Service | Best time to book | Suggested length | From (SAR) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Routine cleaning | Weekly or twice a week | 4 hours | 138 |
| Deep cleaning | Monthly, or after a neglected spell | 6 to 8 hours | 204 |
| Kitchen and dishes | After heavy cooking or a feast | 2 to 4 hours | 92 |
| Bathrooms | Weekly, or before guests | 2 hours | 92 |
| Laundry and ironing | When clothes pile up | 2 to 4 hours | 92 |
| Wardrobe organising | At a change of season or before travel | 4 to 5 hours | 138 |
| Guest preparation | On the day of a gathering or the day before | 4 to 6 hours | 138 |
| After-event cleaning | The morning after | 8 hours or two maids | 274 |
| Ramadan and Eid prep | The week before the season | 6 to 8 hours | 204 |
| Move-in or move-out | Before furniture arrives or after it leaves | 8 hours or two maids | 274 |
Treat these figures as a starting point; the real length depends on the size and state of your home and what you want finished. You can also combine several services in one visit, as explained further down.

Each service costs the same as the visit that covers it: a 2-hour job from SAR 92, routine cleaning from SAR 138, and post-event or move-in cleaning from SAR 274 for 8 hours. Here is how each service maps onto our visit prices:

Weekly routine cleaning for flats and villas
Routine cleaning is a fixed weekly visit, usually 4 hours, that keeps the home tidy before dust and clutter take hold. It starts from SAR 138 a visit or SAR 468 for four visits a month.
This is the service most Jeddah families rely on, because it turns cleaning from a job you keep putting off into a habit you no longer think about. At each visit the maid goes round the whole home in the same order: dusting surfaces, sweeping and mopping, cleaning bathrooms, sorting the kitchen and washing up, and making the beds. Over time she gets to know where everything lives, so visits become quicker and more thorough.
When to book
When your home needs regular upkeep and you do not want a live-in maid.
How long
4 hours for an average flat; 6 to 8 for a villa.
What it covers
Floors, dusting, bathrooms, kitchen and tidying rooms.
Price
From SAR 138 a visit, or SAR 468 for a 4-visit month.
Pick a fixed day that fits your week, such as mid-week, so the house is ready before the weekend and family visits. Homes with children or plenty of space do better with two visits a week, which start from SAR 885 for eight visits.
Deep cleaning by the hour: when does your home need it?
A deep clean is a longer visit, 6 to 8 hours or two maids, that reaches the places a weekly clean skips. It starts from SAR 204 for 6 hours and SAR 274 for 8.

During a deep clean, light furniture is pulled out so the maid can clean beneath and behind it; door frames, handles and light switches are wiped; skirting boards are cleaned; room corners and the lower edge of curtains are vacuumed; and interior window glass is cleaned along with its frames. The kitchen and bathrooms also get extra time to lift built-up grease and limescale.
When to book
Once a month, after a long trip or a dust storm, or when taking over a home that has not been cleaned for a while.
How long
6 hours for a large flat; 8 hours or two maids for a villa.
What it covers
Under and behind furniture, doors and handles, inside windows, room corners.
Price
From SAR 204 for 6 hours; SAR 296 for two maids over 4 hours.
The difference between routine and deep cleaning is depth, not type of work: routine cleaning keeps a clean home clean, while a deep clean resets it to a fresh start. Many homes only need a deep clean every month or two, with weekly visits in between.
Kitchen cleaning after cooking and big meals
Kitchen cleaning focuses on the kitchen alone in a short visit from SAR 92 for 2 hours. It suits homes that cook a lot, or the day after a feast that left pots and plates stacked up.
The maid washes dishes, pots and utensils, lifts visible grease from the hob, cooker hood, cabinet fronts and splashback tiles, scrubs the sink and its strainer, wipes marble worktops and the outside of the fridge and microwave, then mops the kitchen floor. For a large kitchen or after a dinner with many dishes, make it a 4-hour visit from SAR 138.
In open-plan kitchens, common in newer Jeddah flats, cooking smells and grease drift onto nearby sofas and curtains, so it helps to pair the kitchen with the living area in one visit. Outdoor villa kitchens, where rice and meat are cooked in large pots for occasions, take longer to degrease, so we suggest at least 4 hours.
Note: The visit covers cleaning the kitchen and washing up, not cooking meals. The maid can help prepare and serve simple refreshments only.
Bathroom cleaning and limescale removal
Bathroom cleaning is a job that fits a 2-hour visit from SAR 92 for a home with two or three bathrooms, covering basins, toilets, showers, mirrors and floors.
Soap and water leave marks on taps and shower glass quickly, and Jeddah’s humidity means grout lines need constant attention. The maid scrubs visible deposits, polishes taps and mirrors, cleans around and behind the toilet, wipes doors and handles, and finishes by mopping and drying the floor. Villas with many bathrooms are better served by folding them into a 4-hour visit together with the kitchen.
Tip: Tell the maid whether your bathroom is marble or porcelain and leave out a suitable cleaner; some acidic products dull marble.
Laundry, ironing and folding by the hour
Laundry and ironing starts from SAR 92 for 2 hours and suits families with piles of thobes, abayas and shirts, covering sorting, washing, hanging, ironing and folding.
The maid sorts clothes by colour and fabric, runs the machine on the right programme, hangs the wash, irons whatever is dry or already waiting, then folds everything and puts it back in wardrobes or on hangers. White men’s thobes take time and care, so for a large load a 4-hour ironing visit from SAR 138 works best.
- Have the iron, ironing board and drying space ready before the visit.
- Set aside anything that needs hand-washing or dry cleaning; those items stay out of the machine.
- Point out pieces that cannot take high heat.
Wardrobe organising and seasonal clothes changeovers
Wardrobe organising is a 4- to 5-hour visit from SAR 138, in which clothes are sorted, folded and arranged on shelves, and items not in use are packed into storage boxes.

The maid empties the wardrobe shelf by shelf, dusts the shelves, then returns clothes folded in a consistent way, separates summer from winter wear and gathers anything no longer used into bags or boxes as you direct. The visit can also take in children’s wardrobes, shoe racks and the linen and towel cupboard.
When to book
Before summer or winter, before a long trip, or after moving into a new home.
How long
4 hours for two or three wardrobes; 5 hours for several rooms.
What it covers
Sorting, folding, shelf arranging, storage boxes, shoe racks.
Price
From SAR 138 for 4 hours, SAR 182 for 5 hours.
It is also useful when a new baby arrives and the mother needs a tidy wardrobe for baby clothes and supplies, or before a family trip when suitcases are packed and the rest is put away until you return. If your home has a storeroom, part of the visit can go on its boxes and shelves.
What to keep and what to let go is always your decision; the maid arranges things but never throws anything away without your say. It helps to be there for the first half hour to show how you want things organised.

Book nowWhatsApp 0561940026CallGetting the house ready for guests, and serving them
Guest preparation is a 4- to 6-hour visit from SAR 138, in which the maid sets up the majlis, cleans bathrooms and entrances and prepares hospitality trays, and she can stay on to serve refreshments during the gathering.
The best time for this service is the morning of the gathering or the evening before, leaving you time for cooking and getting ready yourself. The maid starts with what guests see first: the entrance, the guest bathroom and the majlis, then polishes tables, vacuums rugs and arranges cushions, and sets out cups, trays and serving pieces. If you would like her to stay during the event to pour coffee and tea, serve sweets and clear plates, include those hours in the visit.
For large gatherings in a villa with separate majlis rooms for men and women, two maids for 4 hours from SAR 296 work best, one on each side of the house. At family occasions in Jeddah, such as welcoming a newborn or an engagement, guests come and go for hours, so count the whole reception when deciding the length.
Tip: Put all your hospitality items in one place before the maid arrives, coffee pots, cups, trays and napkins, and show her where they go in the majlis.
Cleaning up after parties and gatherings
Post-event cleaning is an 8-hour visit from SAR 274, or two maids for 4 hours from SAR 296, to collect and wash dishes, put the majlis back in order and clean floors and bathrooms.

After a party or big dinner the work is everywhere at once: trays and glasses in the majlis, plates in the kitchen, crumbs on the rugs and bathrooms that saw heavy use. The maid starts by collecting and washing dishes until the kitchen is clear, then vacuums rugs, mops floors, cleans bathrooms and returns chairs and tables to their places. Book it for the next morning if you can; fresh stains come out more easily.
Warning: Decorations hung up high and heavy furniture that needs moving back are outside the maid’s tasks. Ask a family member to take them down before the visit.
Preparing your home for Ramadan and Eid
Ramadan or Eid preparation is a 6- to 8-hour visit from SAR 204, giving the home a thorough clean, polishing serveware and readying the dining table and majlis for visitors.

Before Ramadan, majlis seating and curtains are vacuumed, stored hospitality sets are washed, coffee pots and trays are polished, and the kitchen is organised for the busier cooking ahead. Before Eid the same work is repeated with extra attention to entrances and guest rooms. Demand in the last days before Eid is very high, so book at least a week ahead.
During Ramadan itself, many families choose two visits a week, from SAR 885 for eight visits, to keep the majlis ready for visitors all month. Shift times change during the holy month, and we will tell you what is available when you book.
Cleaning a flat before you move in or after you move out
Move-in cleaning is an 8-hour visit from SAR 274, or two maids for 4 hours from SAR 296, clearing dust from windows and doors and cleaning the kitchen, bathrooms and the inside of cupboards before your furniture arrives.

A new or refurbished flat carries fine dust on every surface, traces of plaster and paint on floors and windows, and kitchen cupboards that need wiping inside. A flat being handed back to the landlord needs a clean that shows it in good condition. Either way the work is easier with the rooms empty, so book the visit before the furniture comes in or right after it leaves.
- Dusting doors, windows, frames and light switches.
- Wiping cupboards inside and out in the kitchen and bedrooms.
- Cleaning bathrooms and basins, and lifting light adhesive and paint marks.
- Sweeping and mopping floors more than once until the fine dust is gone.
Note: This is a household cleaning service. It does not include clearing heavy building waste or working on scaffolding and at height. If your flat needs that, describe its condition and ask for the price on WhatsApp.
Handing a flat back to the landlord or the next tenant
Handing back a rented flat calls for an 8-hour visit from SAR 274 once the furniture has gone, cleaning the whole interior so it is returned in tidy condition.
Many tenants in Jeddah move between districts and leave the cleaning to the last day, then lose time juggling movers and keys. In this visit light marks near switches are wiped from the walls, kitchen cupboards are cleaned inside, grease is removed from around the cooker, bathrooms and inside windows are cleaned, and floors are swept and mopped. If the flat is large or the handover date is close, book two maids for 4 hours instead.
Inside windows, majlis seating and vacuuming rugs
Cleaning inside windows, the majlis and rugs with a vacuum is part of any visit, and usually takes 4 hours from SAR 138 when it is the main focus in a large home.
Windows in Jeddah collect dust and humidity together, so a dull film builds up quickly. The maid cleans the glass from inside along with the window tracks and frames. In the majlis she vacuums floor seating, sofas and cushions, wipes tables and shelves, and vacuums rugs on both sides if they can be turned. Steam-washing rugs or machine-cleaning sofas is a different service from an hourly maid visit.
Cleaning up after a trip or a dust storm
After a long trip or a dust storm most homes need a 5- to 6-hour visit, from SAR 182 for 5 hours, to lift the layer of dust from every surface and mop floors more than once.
A home shut up through a Jeddah summer gathers fine dust that slips in around windows and doors, and the humidity makes it stick to marble, glass and furniture. After a dust storm it reaches every corner, even inside open shelving and on curtains. The maid works from the top down: shelves, the tops of wardrobes and frames, then furniture, then vacuuming sofas and rugs, finishing with floors, bathrooms and the kitchen.
Book this visit for the day you return or the day after, before the family is fully using the home again. For a large villa, or one closed for months, make it two maids for 4 hours from SAR 296.
Bedrooms and changing bed linen
Tidying bedrooms is part of every visit, and can be booked on its own as a 2-hour visit from SAR 92 when the home has many rooms that need fresh linen and tidying.
The maid strips sheets and pillowcases, puts them in the wash and makes the beds with clean sets, then dusts bedside tables, dressing tables and bed frames, vacuums under the bed where possible and gathers scattered clothes into the wardrobe or laundry basket. In children’s rooms she puts toys back in their boxes and wipes shelves and desks, while the children stay in their family’s care.
Tip: Leave clean bedding sets on the bed or somewhere obvious before the visit, so no time is lost hunting through cupboards.
Evening tidy-ups for working women and busy families
An evening visit suits working women who want to be at home with the maid. It usually needs 2 to 4 hours, from SAR 92, to clear what built up during the day and get the house ready for tomorrow.
After a long working day the kitchen is full of dishes, the living room is scattered and the laundry is waiting. On an evening visit the maid washes up and tidies the kitchen, gathers stray items, mops the floors and runs the washer or irons tomorrow’s clothes. Many families make it a fixed slot once or twice a week within a monthly package. Any evening charge is confirmed at booking.
Jobs outside an hourly maid visit
Four kinds of work sit outside the visit: cooking full meals, being solely responsible for a child or an elderly relative, exterior facades and anything at height, and moving heavy furniture. Knowing this in advance helps you book the right service and avoids disappointment on the day.
Full cooking
The maid cleans the kitchen and helps serve refreshments, but does not prepare meals.
Sole care
She is never left alone in charge of a child or an older relative; the family is present.
Work at height
No exterior facades, no outside windows, no tall ladders.
Heavy furniture
Moving light pieces to clean is fine; shifting wardrobes and beds is not.
It works best when a lady of the household is at home throughout, since she knows what matters most to the family and can check the work before the maid leaves. If you are unsure whether a task is included, ask on WhatsApp before you book.
Matching the service and hours to your situation
Choose by situation, not only by the size of your home: a small flat after a big dinner can need more time than a villa that is cleaned every week. This table links common situations to the right service:
| Situation | Service | Length and maids | From (SAR) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flat cleaned every week | Routine cleaning | 4 hours, one maid | 138 |
| Bathrooms only, before guests | Single job | 2 hours | 92 |
| A pile of ironing | Laundry and ironing | 2 to 4 hours | 92 |
| Back from a long trip | Deep cleaning | 5 to 6 hours | 182 |
| Villa before a big gathering | Guest preparation | Two maids, 4 hours | 296 |
| Morning after a party | After-event cleaning | 8 hours or two maids | 274 |
| New flat before the furniture | Move-in cleaning | 8 hours or two maids | 274 |
| Large family, all month | Visit package | Twice weekly × 4 hours | 885 |
Fitting several services into one 4-hour visit
You can combine services in a single visit if you plan the time: four hours in an average flat leaves room for a basic clean plus one extra task, such as ironing or sorting one wardrobe.
Here is a practical way to split a 4-hour visit in a three-bedroom flat; adjust it to your own priorities:
| Part of the visit | Task | Why in this order |
|---|---|---|
| First 15 minutes | Quick walk-round and start the washing machine | So clothes are ready to hang before the end |
| First hour | Kitchen and dishes | The area that needs the most time and focus |
| Second hour | Bathrooms | Done before the final mopping |
| Third hour | Bedrooms and living room: dust, vacuum, tidy | Working from top to bottom |
| Last hour | Hang laundry, quick ironing, mop floors | Mopping last so floors stay clean |
If you add a big job such as every wardrobe in the house or a large ironing pile, make the visit 5 or 6 hours or give that job its own visit. An extra hour starts from SAR 52 if we agree it before the visit ends.
