Water-tank cleaning
The water you drink, cook and wash with passes through the tank first. Over time dust and salts settle in it, and algae can grow where light gets in. We pump out the water and sediment, scrub and pressure-wash the walls and floor, then disinfect, rinse and refill the tank, checking the lid, float valve and pipes as we go.

Frequently asked questions
Questions about Water-tank cleaning
When does a tank need cleaning?
Once or twice a year is advised, and straight away if the water changes colour, taste or smell, or sediment appears at the taps.
How long does tank cleaning take?
It depends on the capacity and the amount of sediment; most household tanks are done in a single visit within a few hours.
Are the disinfection products safe?
Disinfectants made for drinking-water tanks are used, and the tank is rinsed thoroughly before it is refilled.
Do you clean rooftop fibreglass and plastic tanks?
Yes, we clean all kinds of rooftop tanks as well as concrete underground tanks.
What if the tank is leaking?
We show you where the leak or crack is during cleaning and suggest the repair or insulation that suits it.
