Gulf Al-Arab Company provides hourly maids in West Riyadh across 26 districts, from Ulaishah, Al Badiah and Siyah near the heart of the city, through As Suwaidi, Al Uraija and Shubra, out to Namar, Al Awali and the Diplomatic Quarter. Visit length is your choice; most western households go for four hours with one maid, priced from SAR 138, while big villas with a courtyard and two majlis rooms get two maids at once or a longer booking. Our driver brings the maid to your door and picks her up at the end, in a morning or evening slot. To book, call or WhatsApp 0561940026.

What the term means: in Riyadh, an “hourly maid” or “part-time maid” does not live with you. She arrives for the hours you reserved, does the cleaning and tidying, then goes. The visit is all you pay for, with no sponsorship, no residence permit to manage and no long contract.
Which West Riyadh districts does the hourly maid service cover?
We cover 26 districts in West Riyadh, listed here by the sub-municipality (baladiyah) each one belongs to. Districts in the same sub-municipality tend to sit close together and have similar homes, so it is the easiest way to find yours and see what suits it. Every district also has its own page describing its housing and the visit we suggest; use the buttons under each group.
The way we split Riyadh into zones follows our service, not any official map. Some property portals put Al Maather, Ulaishah or Siyah in central Riyadh and Al Hazm in the south. That changes nothing about the visit: prices are the same and the maid reaches your door in the same way.
Ash Shumaisi sub-municipality: close to the city centre
These are the western districts nearest to central Riyadh, and their housing is very mixed. Ulaishah has flats and villas with shops and showrooms for rent among them; Siyah has many studios and one-room flats; Al Badiah has flats and villas in the district that carries the name of the historic Al Badiah Palace. One property guide describes Al Fakhiriyah as a lively, traditional neighbourhood; Ar Rafiah and Ash Sharafiyah show furnished flats, studios and villas; An Nasiriyah has residential blocks and flats for rent. Al Maather runs along King Khalid Road, with villas (some inside walled compounds) and new upscale floors, while Al Hada is a villa district right next to the Diplomatic Quarter.
Al Uraija sub-municipality: established family homes
This is the largest group in the west: the three Al Uraija districts (Al Uraija, Al Uraija Al Wusta and Al Uraija Al Gharbi) together with As Suwaidi, As Suwaidi Al Gharbi, Sultanah, Ad Duraihimiyah, Dhahrat Al Badiah, Az Zahrah and Shubra. As Suwaidi Al Gharbi is one of Riyadh’s older, well-known districts, bounded by Madinah Road to the north and the Western Ring Road to the south and west, with a walkway and parks. Shubra has villas with four or more rooms and upper floors; Dhahrat Al Badiah has flats for rent and floors; Ad Duraihimiyah has flats and offices; Sultanah has villas and showrooms on the road that bears its name. Note that Az Zahrah here is a western district, not Az Zahra near Al Malaz.
Al Maather sub-municipality: villas and blocks along King Khalid Road
Umm Al Hamam Ash Sharqi (East) sits beside Al Maather along King Khalid Road, with villas, residential blocks and furnished flats. Umm Al Hamam Al Gharbi (West) is one of the older known districts, with villas and flats. Ar Raid has many newer apartment buildings and units with private entrances.
Namar sub-municipality: the south-western edge
Namar covers about 4.2 km², with the Southern Ring Road, Dirab Road and Wadi Namar around it; its landmarks include the Namar Dam lake and the Wadi Namar walkway. Al Awali has many villas and residential compounds for rent on Najm Ad Din Al Ayyubi Road and At Tawhid Street. Some sources place Al Hazm in South Riyadh and others in the west; we serve it as part of the west.
Irqah sub-municipality: the Diplomatic Quarter
The Diplomatic Quarter (As Sifarat) is home to most foreign embassies and entry is controlled at the gates, so the resident arranges the maid’s entry in advance and we confirm the details before the visit day.
The table below sums up the five groups in one line per sub-municipality, with the most common housing and what needs attention when you book:
| Sub-municipality | Its districts in our guide | Typical housing | Booking note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ash Shumaisi | Ulaishah, Siyah, Al Badiah, Al Fakhiriyah, Ar Rafiah, Ash Sharafiyah, An Nasiriyah, Al Maather, Al Hada | Flats, studios and blocks; villas in Al Maather, Al Hada and Al Badiah | Al Maather compounds need gate arrangements |
| Al Uraija | Al Uraija (all three), As Suwaidi, As Suwaidi Al Gharbi, Sultanah, Ad Duraihimiyah, Dhahrat Al Badiah, Az Zahrah, Shubra | Family villas, floors and flats | Numbered streets in Dhahrat Al Badiah and unnamed streets in Ad Duraihimiyah: send a pin |
| Al Maather | Umm Al Hamam East, Umm Al Hamam West, Ar Raid | Villas and newer blocks | Give the flat number and floor |
| Namar | Namar, Al Hazm, Al Awali | Villas, compounds and floors | Give the compound name in Al Awali |
| Irqah | Diplomatic Quarter | Villas and flats inside a controlled-entry district | The resident arranges the entry permit |

How many hours does your West Riyadh home need?
In brief: two hours for a small flat, four for a family flat or a floor, and six to eight for a villa, or two maids if it is a big one. West Riyadh has almost every type of home, from a studio in Siyah to a villa with a courtyard and two majlis rooms in Shubra or Al Awali, so we do not suggest one number for the whole zone. When you book, we ask how many bedrooms and bathrooms you have, whether there is a men’s and a women’s majlis, and whether the house has an inner courtyard or stairs; then we suggest the length.
| Type of home | Common in the west in | Visit we start with | When to add time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Studio or one-room flat | Siyah, Ar Rafiah, Ash Sharafiyah, Al Maather | 2 hours | Before a guest arrives or when handing over the flat |
| Three-bedroom family flat | Dhahrat Al Badiah, An Nasiriyah, Ad Duraihimiyah, Ar Raid | 4 hours | 5 hours if you add ironing or the fridge |
| Ground or upper floor | Al Uraija, Az Zahrah, Shubra, As Suwaidi | 4 to 5 hours | With a large majlis or a full week of laundry |
| Mid-size villa | As Suwaidi Al Gharbi, Umm Al Hamam, Al Hada | 6 hours | Before gatherings and after dust storms |
| Large villa with courtyard and two majlis rooms | Shubra, Al Awali, Al Maather, Namar | A full 8-hour day, or a pair of maids for four hours | When preparing for Ramadan and Eid |
Treat this as a starting point rather than a fixed rule. A home with small children needs more time in the bedrooms and living room; a home shared by two adults needs less. Most importantly, make the first visit a little longer, because it clears what has built up, and the regular visits after it can be shorter. If the maid finishes slightly early in a small home, she uses the remaining time on a task you choose, such as sorting a cupboard or wiping the doors.
Tip: In your booking message, write what matters most, such as “kitchen and bathrooms first”. If time runs short, the priorities are already done.
What does an hourly maid cost in West Riyadh?
Prices for an hourly maid in West Riyadh begin at SAR 92 for two hours and run from SAR 138 for four hours with a single maid. You pay the same rate in all 26 districts, whether your home is in Ulaishah near the centre or in Namar on the south-western edge. Transport both ways is included. What moves the total is how long you book, how many maids come, how big the home is and which slot you pick.
| Visit type | Details | Starts from (SAR) |
|---|---|---|
| Studio or a single task | One maid for two hours: a kitchen and bathroom, or a very small flat | 92 |
| The zone’s most booked visit | 4 hours, one maid, for a flat or floor | 138 |
| Five-hour visit | A floor with a majlis, or a flat plus ironing and laundry | 184 |
| Six hours | A mid-size villa or preparing for a gathering | 204 |
| Eight hours | A large villa with one maid in a single day | 234 |
| Additional hour | Booked on the spot when the job runs over, if her next slot allows | 52 |
| Two maids together | Two maids for 4 hours, for a villa with a courtyard and two majlis rooms | 296 |
| One fixed visit a week | Four visits over the month, four hours apiece | 468 |
| Twice weekly | Eight monthly visits of four hours | 885 |
| Three times weekly | Twelve monthly visits of four hours | 1,325 |
Visits on a Friday, on public holidays or late in the evening carry charges that are confirmed when you book. If you want something not in the table, such as a long pre-move-in clean or a third maid for a large occasion, message us on WhatsApp for the price and we will come back with an option sized to your home.
If you are unsure whether to book single visits or a package, here is the practical rule: if you need a maid at least once a week, the package works out better value and is easier, because your slot is fixed and you do not book each time. If your need is occasional, before guests or after a trip, single visits make more sense.
Does the maid clean the courtyard in West Riyadh homes?
Yes, within limits. The maid sweeps a small inner courtyard, mops the entrance tiles and the outdoor seating area and wipes the tables and chairs, but she does not hose down large courtyards or clean pools and gardens. Many villas in the west, in Shubra, As Suwaidi Al Gharbi, Umm Al Hamam and Al Awali, are built so that the courtyard (hosh) is part of family life: an entrance where shoes come off, an evening seating corner, a path between the outer gate and the majlis. These are the first places a guest sees, and the first places to collect dust.
On a normal visit, the maid starts with the courtyard while the morning is still mild. She sweeps the sand that gathers in the corners and under the seating, mops the tiles near the door, shakes out the outdoor cushions if they can be shaken, and wipes the table and chairs. Then she moves into the majlis and the house, so the courtyard dust is not carried onto clean floors. In summer we suggest leaving the courtyard to the end of an evening visit, once the heat has eased, or limiting it to the entrance.
Included in the visit
Sweeping a small inner courtyard, mopping the entrance, cleaning the outdoor seating and its tables, lining up shoes by the door.
Not included
Hosing down large courtyards, cleaning pools, garden and palm care, lifting heavy furniture.
What helps the maid
A long-handled mop and an outdoor broom, a water point near the courtyard, and a spot for rubbish bags.
Good timing
The courtyard early in the morning or late afternoon, the indoors during the hot hours.
Safety first: Roofs, outside walls and the outer face of windows are off limits. Anything that means working at height stays outside the hourly visit.
Book a maid for your West Riyadh home
Tell us your district, whether it is a flat, floor or villa, and how many rooms; we reply with a suggested visit before anything is confirmed.
After a dust storm: in what order does the maid clean the house?
The right order runs from top to bottom and from the far rooms towards the entrance: safe high surfaces first, then furniture, then floors, and the courtyard last. Dust storms sweep across all of Riyadh, and homes that face open land or wide streets on the western edges take in dust through window gaps and under doors, where it settles on every surface. Random cleaning after a storm wastes time, because dust wiped off a shelf falls on a floor that has just been mopped.
- Close the windows and switch on the air conditioning before starting, so no fresh dust comes in.
- Wipe the inside window ledges and the tracks of sliding windows with a damp cloth.
- Dust shelves, the TV, frames and any air-conditioning grilles that can be reached safely.
- Shake out cushions and pillows and vacuum the sofas and rugs.
- Mop the floors after vacuuming, room by room, finishing at the entrance.
- Clean the courtyard and entrance last, once the indoors is done.

An average family home after a strong storm usually needs 5 to 6 hours, and a large villa two maids or an 8-hour visit. We notice that families with a fixed weekly visit recover faster after a storm, because the dust lands on a house that was already clean instead of mixing with older build-up. If your weekly visit falls on a storm day, you can move it by a day on WhatsApp as long as you tell us well before the slot, so the maid is not cleaning while dust is still blowing.
How does the maid prepare the majlis before guests and after them?
Before guests, the maid concentrates on what a guest will see: the majlis carpet, the floor seating or sofas, the cushions, the serving tables, the guest toilet and the entrance. After guests, the work is the dishes, the coffee cups, the leftovers and the floors. In West Riyadh homes, especially older family villas, there are often two majlis rooms: a men’s majlis near the entrance and a women’s majlis or large lounge further inside, both laid with carpets and cushions.
Before the gathering
The maid vacuums the carpet, paying attention to the edges where crumbs collect; shakes out the cushions and lines them up evenly along the wall; wipes the small tables and wooden surfaces; polishes glass tabletops and mirrors; cleans the guest toilet and puts out fresh towels. Then she prepares the serving area: clean coffee cups and glasses, serving trays, and incense burners wiped on the outside. She can also help serve in the women’s section if the visit is still running when the guests arrive.
After the gathering
The next day, or at the end of the same visit if it is long, the maid collects the trays and cups and washes up, cleans coffee and tea marks off the tables, vacuums crumbs of sweets and dates from the carpet, mops the floors and puts the majlis back in order. Stubborn stains and full carpet washing call for dedicated machines, so they sit outside an hourly booking.

For two majlis rooms and a lounge before a medium-sized gathering, one maid for five or six hours usually does it; add the kitchen and guest bedrooms and a pair of maids for four hours is the better plan. Occasion days get busy, so book a few days ahead to get the slot you want.
When do you need two maids instead of one in a West Riyadh villa?
You need two maids when the house is large and time is short: a two-storey villa with two majlis rooms and a courtyard, preparing for an occasion in one day, or a home reopening after a long trip. A pair of maids for four hours is priced from SAR 296; a single maid for a full eight hours is from SAR 234. So the choice is between paying less and waiting a full day, or paying a little more and having the house finished in half the time.
| Situation | Single maid, full day | Pair of maids, half day |
|---|---|---|
| Two-storey villa on a normal day | Fine if your day is free | Fine if you want the work done before noon |
| Preparing for an evening gathering | May not finish both majlis rooms and the kitchen | Best: one on the majlis rooms, one on the kitchen and bathrooms |
| Home back from a trip | Fine with clear priorities | Faster at clearing dust from both floors |
| Fixed weekly visit | Lower cost across the month | Only when needed |

When you book two maids, we split the work between them from the start so they do not repeat the same task. The first takes the upper floor, bedrooms and bathrooms; the second takes the kitchen, majlis rooms and ground floor; then they join up for the last half hour on whatever is left. They arrive together and leave together, and the hours count from their arrival.
Which addresses need special arrangements for the maid to arrive?
Three kinds of address in West Riyadh need one extra step from you when booking: controlled-entry districts, walled compounds, and numbered or unnamed streets. The step is simple, but it saves visit time that would otherwise be lost looking for the door.
Diplomatic Quarter
Gate access is controlled; you register the maid’s entry ahead of time and we run through the details with you a day earlier.
Compounds in Al Awali and Al Maather
Give the compound name and villa number, and tell the gate guard the maid’s time and the company name.
Numbered streets
Dhahrat Al Badiah and Ar Rafiah have streets and lanes with numbers, and Ad Duraihimiyah has unnamed streets: send a location pin.
Blocks in Siyah and Ar Raid
Write the building number, floor and flat, whether there is a lift, and who will open the door.
In every case, send your location pin on WhatsApp with your first message. It is more accurate than directions, and the driver keeps it for future visits. We also ask that an adult member of the household is at home when the maid arrives, preferably the lady of the house.
Where does the hourly maid’s job stop in a West Riyadh home?
It stops where the work needs a technician or puts the maid in danger; ordinary housework short of that is hers to do. This table shows the limits so you can plan knowing what to expect:
| Jobs the maid does | Jobs outside the visit |
|---|---|
| Bedrooms and lounges tidied, swept and mopped | Preparing and cooking whole meals |
| Washing up, kitchen counters and the outside of appliances | Being left alone to care for children or elderly relatives |
| Bathrooms and toilets | Exterior walls, work at height and roofs |
| Laundry, ironing and folding | Moving heavy furniture |
| Inside window glass and dusting | Hosing down large courtyards, pools and gardens |
| Majlis rooms and rugs with a vacuum cleaner | Machine-washing carpets and sofas |
| Preparing hospitality, serving and clearing up after | Any dangerous or unagreed task |
| Getting ready for Ramadan and Eid; a clean before you move in or once you move out |
Basic equipment travels with the maid, and the cleaning products are settled when you book: plenty of households like their own sprays for marble and wood, others would rather she supplies them. Tell us what you prefer and we will arrange it.
Morning or evening: which suits West Riyadh homes better?
Mornings suit big cleans, villas and courtyards; evenings suit families who are at work during the day and want someone at home to let the maid in. Your hours begin once the maid steps through your door, so traffic on the way never eats into them. We give you the arrival time when we confirm the booking.
The main roads in the west, such as King Khalid Road, Madinah Road and the Western Ring Road, get busy at peak hours like the rest of Riyadh, so we line up maids in neighbouring districts one after another where we can. In Ramadan the slots shift with the fasting hours; most families prefer a visit after midday or after Taraweeh prayers, and we confirm the available slots at booking. Fridays and holidays are also confirmed at booking.
Note: Need another time or another maid? Message us on WhatsApp early. And if one maid suited you, ask for her again next time; we send her whenever her schedule is free.
Are your maids legal, and why does it matter under Saudi rules?
Yes. Every maid we send works legally on a valid iqama, has been trained for household work and arrives in a modest uniform. It matters because the person who opens the door carries responsibility too. Under the Domestic Workers Regulation, an employer may not let a domestic worker take jobs with other households or freelance; breaking this can cost up to SAR 20,000 or a recruitment ban of as long as three years, with the penalty doubled on a repeat, and the worker can be fined as much as SAR 2,000.
Separately, the General Directorate of Passports warns that giving a lift to, hiring or housing anyone in breach of residence and labour rules, domestic workers included, can lead to as much as 6 months behind bars and a SAR 100,000 fine for each person involved. The regulation also limits a domestic worker to ten real working hours in a day and never more than five straight hours without rest, which helps explain why four-hour visits are the norm. The bottom line: book through a licensed provider, and do not let into your home a worker offering herself on the street or through an unknown middleman.
On nationalities: we have African maids, for example Kenyan and Ugandan, plus Bangladeshi maids. Who is free depends on the roster when you book, and we let you know when we confirm.
Booking an hourly maid in West Riyadh, step by step
Booking is done entirely by phone or WhatsApp and takes no more than one clear message:
Start with the district: such as “Shubra, Riyadh” or “Diplomatic Quarter”, plus a location pin.
Tell us about the house: flat, floor or villa; how many bedrooms, bathrooms and majlis rooms; whether there is a courtyard or stairs.
Say what you need: general cleaning, hospitality preparation, ironing and laundry, or a post-storm clean.
Choose the plan: hours, one maid or two, morning or evening, one-off or monthly.
Open the door: once we confirm, the maid turns up, her hours run from that moment, and our driver takes her back afterwards.
After the first visit, booking gets easier: your home details and location are saved, so a short message with the new date is enough.
Anywhere in West Riyadh, one message away
Ulaishah, Shubra, Al Awali or the Diplomatic Quarter: a one-off visit or a weekly slot, timed around your day.
