Hourly Maids in East Riyadh

Gulf Al-Arab Company provides hourly maids in East Riyadh across Ar Rabwah, Al Faisaliyah, Al Jazirah, Ar Rawabi and Ar Rayyan, with visits sized to your home. The visit most families here book is 4 hours with one maid, from SAR 138, with shorter visits for flats and longer ones for large villas, in the morning or the evening. Our driver brings her to your house and picks her up again at the end of the booked time. For booking, call or WhatsApp us on 0561940026.

If you are new to the term: an “hourly maid” or “part-time maid” in Riyadh is not a live-in worker. She comes for a booked visit of a set number of hours, cleans and tidies, and leaves. You pay for the hours, not for a residency or a contract.

Are hourly maids available in East Riyadh, and where exactly?

Yes. We send hourly maids to five East Riyadh districts: Ar Rabwah, Al Faisaliyah, Al Jazirah, Ar Rawabi and Ar Rayyan. They sit next to each other around the Eastern Ring Road and the cross roads that feed it, such as Khurais Road, Prince Saad bin Abdulrahman Al Awwal Road and Imam Ash Shafi’i Road. Because the districts are so close together, scheduling is easier, and we can line up back-to-back slots for families who want the same visit every week.

A note on the map: the zones in this article follow how we organise our service. Some property portals list Ar Rabwah and Al Faisaliyah under central Riyadh. That changes nothing about the service itself; the maid reaches any of these districts on the same terms and starting prices. Each district has its own page describing its homes and the hours that suit them:

If your home is in an eastern district not listed here, send us the district name and your location pin on WhatsApp and we will tell you what is available. For the full picture across the city, from prices to the regulations, see our main guide, Hourly Maids Company in Riyadh.

How do homes differ across the five eastern districts?

Quite a lot, and that is why the right number of hours changes from one district to the next even when they share a border. East Riyadh is not one block: it has a long-established district with tree-lined streets, quiet districts of spacious villas, and areas where independent floors and flats are common. Here is a quick reading of each district from the point of view of the person who comes in to clean:

Ar Rayyan: spacious villas and wide streets

Ar Rayyan falls under the An Naseem sub-municipality. The Eastern Ring Road runs along its west side, Khurais Road along its north and Imam Ash Shafi’i Road along its east. It is quiet, with wide streets and many villas, a good number of them large, alongside flats and floors. A villa in Ar Rayyan usually has a men’s majlis, a women’s majlis, a family lounge and an internal staircase, and those alone take a real share of the visit. For Ar Rayyan villas we suggest 6 hours or two maids for 4 hours; flats are usually fine with 4 hours.

Ar Rawabi: a mix of villas, floors and flats

Ar Rawabi is also part of An Naseem sub-municipality. Ar Rayyan lies to its north, the Eastern Ring Road to its west, and to the south Prince Saad bin Abdulrahman Al Awwal Road separates it from Al Jazirah. It combines villas, floors and apartments, and Riyadh people know it for Unaizah Street and its restaurants. Most households are medium to large families, and what they ask for most is a fixed weekly visit that keeps the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms under control, rather than an occasional big clean.

Al Jazirah: an established district where detail matters

Al Jazirah is one of the settled districts of the As Sulay sub-municipality, about 9.67 km², bounded by the Eastern Ring Road to the west, Harun Ar Rashid Road to the east and Ibn Al Amid Road to the south. Its streets are wide and tree-lined, and Harun Ar Rashid Park with its walking track is one of its landmarks. Homes are villas, flats and duplexes, many of them lived in for years, with wooden cupboards, marble floors that need careful mopping and polishing, and wide windows that collect dust. Slightly longer visits, 5 hours for example, pay off here, because older homes are cleaned for detail, not for speed.

Ar Rabwah: family homes near the Eastern Ring Road

Ar Rabwah lies on the west side of the Eastern Ring Road, opposite Ar Rayyan and Ar Rawabi, with Makkah Al Mukarramah Road along its north separating it from King Abdullah district. It belongs to the Al Malaz sub-municipality, which is why some sources place it in the centre. Its homes are mostly family houses, and being close to the ring road makes morning access straightforward. Most homes in Ar Rabwah suit a 4-hour visit, stretched to 5 or 6 hours before receiving guests.

Al Faisaliyah: independent floors and a location that needs a pin

The Al Faisaliyah district of Riyadh is often confused with the Al Faisaliah Tower, which stands in Al Olaya; they are entirely different places. Some property portals list the district under central Riyadh, with independent floors offered for sale. Because the name is shared with other places, we always ask Al Faisaliyah residents to send their location pin when booking, so the maid reaches the right address without delay. An independent floor usually needs 4 hours, and 5 hours if it has three or more bedrooms plus a majlis.

The table below puts these differences into one line per district: the surrounding roads, the typical homes and the visit we suggest as a starting point:

DistrictRoads and neighboursTypical homesSuggested visit

How much is an hourly maid in East Riyadh?

An hourly maid in East Riyadh starts from SAR 92 for a 2-hour visit and from SAR 138 for a 4-hour visit with one maid, and the same starting prices apply in all five districts. Your total moves with four things: hours booked, how many maids come, how regularly you book, and how big the house is. Distance is not charged to you, because transport is part of the service. These are the options eastern families book most:

Visit typeDetailsFrom (SAR)
Short visit2 hours, one maid, for a kitchen and bathroom or a small flat92
Standard visit4 hours, one maid, enough for most flats and floors138
Extended visit5 hours, for older Al Jazirah homes or a floor with a majlis184
Half day6 hours, for a medium villa or preparing for guests204
Long visit8 hours, for a large villa in one day234
Extra hourwhen the home needs more time once the visit has started52
Two maids togethera pair working 4 hours side by side, for Ar Rayyan and Ar Rawabi villas296
Weekly package4 visits a month, 4 hours each468
Twice-weekly package8 visits a month × 4 hours885
Three-times-weekly package12 visits a month × 4 hours1,325

Treat these as entry figures. We confirm the exact amount after you tell us the number of rooms and bathrooms, the tasks and the shift you want. Evening, Friday and public-holiday charges are confirmed at booking. Anything missing from the list, a big family occasion for instance, just ask about its price on WhatsApp.

To compare: A quick comparison: one 4-hour visit starts from SAR 138, while the weekly package starts from SAR 468 for four visits. If your home needs a maid every week, the package works out better than booking each visit on its own.

Is one visit a week enough for a large family home?

Usually yes, if the visit is 4 hours and the tasks are planned well; you will need two visits a week if there are many young children or frequent guests. East Riyadh families tend to be fairly large, and a home with six or seven people gets its kitchen and bathrooms dirty quickly. What we see working is splitting the house across the weeks of the month, instead of trying to clean everything on every visit.

The idea is to keep the core tasks fixed on each visit: kitchen and dishes, bathrooms, sweeping and mopping, and tidying the rooms. Then one rotating task is added each week. That way the whole house passes through the maid’s hands over the month, and no corner is left to pile up. Here is a sample monthly plan on the weekly package (4 visits × 4 hours):

VisitFixed tasksRotating task added
Week onesink, dishes and worktops; bathrooms; floors swept and moppedinside of the fridge and tidying the pantry
Week twosink, dishes and worktops; bathrooms; bedrooms put in orderwashing, ironing and folding clothes
Week threesink, dishes and worktops; bathrooms; floors swept and moppedinside window glass and dusting the frames
Week foursink, dishes and worktops; bathrooms; bedrooms put in ordervacuuming the majlis and rugs, polishing tables

This is only an example, and you can change it to suit your home. Some families in Ar Rawabi prefer laundry and ironing on every visit because the household is large, while some older Al Jazirah homes keep the fourth week for wooden cupboards and doors. What matters is agreeing the priorities with the maid on the first visit and writing them in a WhatsApp message, so they stay clear for any maid who comes later.

Weekly Visits in East Riyadh
A fixed weekly visit stops work from piling up in large family homes
Tip: Expecting guests late in the month? Stretch that week’s visit from 4 to 6 hours, or add an hour or two at the extra-hour rate from SAR 52, so the majlis is ready without booking a separate visit.

What does an hourly maid get done in a busy family kitchen?

In the kitchen the maid washes and puts away dishes and pots, wipes counters and marble tops, cleans cupboard fronts and the outside of appliances, cleans the sink and basin, mops the floor and takes out the rubbish; with enough time she also cleans inside the fridge, the oven and the microwave. In eastern homes the kitchen really is the heart of the house: a big family lunch, coffee and tea for guests, and sometimes an outdoor kitchen or a corner for serving meals on the floor. So our advice is to give the kitchen the first hour of the visit, before the maid moves on to bathrooms and rooms.

Keep in mind that preparing meals from scratch is outside her role. She can help with simple preparation, such as washing vegetables, setting out serving pieces and preparing coffee and date trays, but cooking is not part of the visit. The day after a family dinner is one of the most useful times to book, when pots and plates are stacked up and the floor and serving area need a quick clean.

Before the visitClear heavy food scraps from the sink and point out any pieces that cannot take hot water or need special care.
During the visitThe maid starts with dishes, then counters, then appliance fronts, then the floor, so dust and water do not land on what is already clean.
Fridge and ovenThese take extra time, so ask for them on a 5-hour visit or make them the rotating task for one week a month.
After a dinnerBook the day after the gathering: kitchen, serving area and majlis can be done together in 4 to 6 hours.

Will an hourly maid do the washing and ironing?

Yes. Running the washing machine, hanging clothes, ironing, folding and putting them away are all part of the visit, and they are among the most requested tasks in East Riyadh. Ironing takes longer than many people expect, though: a single men’s thobe needs several minutes of care, and a household with several men and school-age children builds up a week’s worth of clothes. So it is not a good idea to combine a full clean and a large pile of ironing in one 4-hour visit.

A better approach is to give laundry and ironing their own visit each week, or to make ironing the last hour of the visit with a set amount. If your home needs washing almost every other day, the twice-weekly package (8 visits × 4 hours, from SAR 885) lets one visit focus on cleaning and the other on laundry, ironing and wardrobes.

Hourly Laundry and Ironing in East Riyadh
Washing, ironing and folding are part of the visit; giving them their own time works best
Note: Label or set aside delicate items: dry-clean-only fabrics, embroidered abayas and clothes that may run. The maid follows your instructions, so the clearer they are, the fewer mistakes.

Which jobs fall outside an hourly maid visit?

Five things sit outside the visit: cooking whole meals; sole charge of children or elderly relatives; risky jobs such as tall ladders or outside facades; shifting heavy furniture; and hosing big courtyards or looking after pools and gardens. These limits are not a weakness of the service; they keep the maid safe and follow the Domestic Workers Regulation, which prohibits assigning dangerous tasks. It also helps if a lady of the family stays in during the visit, to show the maid around and unlock the rooms on the list.

Morning or evening: which shift suits eastern districts?

The morning shift suits most East Riyadh homes, because the house is quiet once the children leave for school and the roads into the districts are lighter than in the evening. Families where both partners work, or who want a woman of the house present during the visit, often choose the evening shift. Either way, the visit time counts from the moment the maid arrives and enters the home, not from when she sets off.

The Eastern Ring Road and Khurais Road are among the busiest roads in Riyadh at peak times, so we do not promise an arrival time to the minute. We agree an arrival window with you and let you know if anything changes. You can reschedule or ask for a different maid on WhatsApp, giving reasonable notice before the visit, and if one maid suits your household, name her when you rebook; she comes back whenever her schedule allows.

MorningFor homes that are quiet during the day and families who want the cleaning finished before lunch.
EveningFor working couples and for anyone preparing the home before night-time guests.
Fridays and holidaysAvailable depending on the schedule; charges are confirmed at booking.
RamadanTimings shift during the month, so book early for the last ten nights and Eid.

How do I book an hourly maid for my East Riyadh home?

Book with a WhatsApp message or a call to 0561940026; all we need is a little information about the home and the time. The steps in order:

1
Send your district and location: the district name (Ar Rabwah, Al Faisaliyah, Al Jazirah, Ar Rawabi or Ar Rayyan) with a location pin, especially in Al Faisaliyah and on inner streets.
2
Describe the home briefly: villa, floor or flat, the number of rooms and bathrooms, and whether there is a majlis or internal staircase.
3
List tasks and priorities: kitchen, bathrooms, laundry and ironing, hospitality set-up; from that we work out the hours.
4
Pick a day and a shift: a morning or evening slot, booked once or as part of a monthly plan.
5
Open the door: she arrives in the agreed window, and our driver takes her back afterwards.

Basic tools travel with the maid; which cleaning products she brings is settled when you book. Prefer a particular product for marble or wooden floors, tell us and the maid will use them.

Which nationalities are available for hourly work?

Our maids include African nationalities such as Kenyan and Ugandan, as well as Bangladeshi, and the mix on offer depends on who is free when you book. What matters more to most families than nationality is that the maid is trained in household work, legally employed with a valid iqama, modestly dressed and respectful of the home’s privacy. Have a preference? Say so in your message and we will check it against your slot.

Why does it matter that the maid is legally employed?

Because the penalties land on the household too. The General Directorate of Passports has announced that whoever hires, houses or gives a lift to someone breaking residency and labour rules, domestic workers included, risks imprisonment of up to 6 months and a fine reaching SAR 100,000 for each such person. Separately, under the Domestic Workers Regulation, a sponsor who lends out their own housemaid to other homes can be fined as much as SAR 20,000 or barred from recruiting for as long as 3 years; the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development enforces this and publishes action taken against offenders.

That is why our maids work with valid iqamas, and every maid comes through the company, not through a middleman on the street. We handle her transport and organise her hours. It saves you from worrying about the worker’s legal status and lets you deal with us directly whenever you need to change a time or a maid.

Simple preparations that make the visit more productive

Booked hours go further when the home is ready for the maid. These take you a few minutes and save her time she can spend cleaning:

  • Write the task list in order of importance, with the essentials first in case time runs short.
  • Put valuables and important papers away before the visit.
  • Say which rooms are closed and which you want done first.
  • Set aside a spot for cleaning tools near a water source.
  • In large Ar Rayyan and Ar Rawabi villas, tell the maid which floor to start on so she does not move back and forth.
  • In older Al Jazirah homes, point out antique wooden furniture or marble that needs a specific product.
  • Little ones at home should stay with a family member; minding them is not part of the maid’s work.
From experience: After the first visit, tell the maid or us what you liked and what you would change. The second visit is always more precise once the household’s habits are known.

No. Starting prices are the same in all eastern districts, and transport is part of the service.

A large villa with two majlis rooms and an internal staircase usually needs 6 hours or two maids for 4 hours; a flat is usually fine with 4 hours.

You can ask for the same maid, and we will send her when she is available for your slot.

How do I change my visit time?

Message us on WhatsApp with reasonable notice before the visit and we will arrange another time or another maid.

Why do you ask Al Faisaliyah residents for a location pin?

The district name is shared with other places, such as Al Faisaliah Tower in Al Olaya, so the pin helps the maid reach the right address.

Does the maid bring cleaning tools?

She brings the basic cleaning tools; cleaning products are as agreed at booking.

Does someone from the household need to be home?

It is preferred that a woman of the household is at home to guide the maid and open the rooms needed.
